Important thing to remember for a proper silk care:
- Check the garment for specific care instructions by the manufacturer
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry or dry in direct sunlight
- Use detergent for delicates or hair shampoo
- Check for colorfastness by dabbing with a wet cloth and seeing if any color bleeds into the wet cloth.
SILK PILLOWCASES AND SILK BEDDING CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wash silk in the washing machine:
- Wash with delicates only
- Use a mesh bag for delicates to protect from damage
- Load the macine
- Add detergent formulated for delicate items
- Start a delicate cycle
- Use a towel to soak up excess water
- Hang the garment or lay flat to dry
Hand wash silk:
- Fill a bowl or sink with cold water and submerge the silk garment.
- Add a few drops of detergent for delicates and use your hand to mix it with the water.
- Soak for 2 minutes.
- Agitate the silk garment up and down the water gently to remove any dirt.
- Take out the garment, throw the dirty water, and rinse with cold water until the soap has been washed out.
- Absorb excess water with a towel but don’t rub or agitate the garment.
- Place the garment on a hanger or drying rack away from direct sunlight.
SILK FACE MASKS CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Hand wash Silk Face Mask
- Fill a bowl or sink with cold water and submerge the silk garment.
- Add a few drops of detergent for delicates and use your hand to mix it with the water.
