What does “Nothing but Silk” mean at SILKPRADA?
Whenever technically possible, SILKPRADA creations are crafted entirely from silk components.
SILKPRADA products are made with 100% silk fabrics and 100% silk components. Products requiring synthetic elastic, plastic cores, or other non-silk functional components are not offered under SILKPRADA.
As new silk techniques and technologies become possible, we continue to expand what can be made entirely from silk.
Are all SILKPRADA products made entirely from silk?
All SILKPRADA products are made entirely with silk components. Products that cannot meet this standard are not offered under SILKPRADA.
Does SILKPRADA use synthetic elastic?
No. SILKPRADA does not use synthetic elastic. When stretch or adjustability is needed, SILKPRADA uses silk-based solutions such as Silk Serenity Knit™, silk jersey structures, silk drawstrings, or other 100% silk construction methods. Silk Elastic™ remains part of SILKPRADA’s ongoing research and development.
Why does SILKPRADA use silk floss?
Silk floss may be used as batting, padding, or fill where softness, purity, and all-silk construction are important.
Are the half-scale couture dresses for sale?
No. The half-scale couture dresses are fabric studies created to demonstrate drape, structure, rosettes, and three-dimensional silk manipulation. They are not full-size dress offerings.
